Yay Renton! You turn 105 years old tomorrow!

This is also an appropriate time to look back on Renton's Centenial celebration five years ago: We had a ceremony and fireworks in Liberty Park on September 6 after a great summer of partying!










Tragically, the happy mood came to an abrupt end 5 days later with the 9/11 terror attack.

We will not let any lunatic terrorists spoil the mood on our 105th birthday...so Rock-on Renton! And thank you to William Renton and the visionary founders that incorporated our great city, back on September 6, 1901.

I've heard from many sources that Clint Eastwood used to work as a lifeguard at Kennydale Beach park. Does anyone have any photos, documentation, or personal recollections of this? It would be fun to have more details.
