Poets on Renton WA myspace are creating Haikus about our beautiful city.

(As a reminder, A Haiku must "paint" a mental image in the reader's mind. This is the challenge of Haiku - to put the poem's meaning and imagery in the reader's mind in ONLY 17 syllables over just three lines of poetry!)

IKEA Performing Arts Center is hosting a series of events to showcase our great local talent. Local Band "Amorous Cactus" took center stage and rocked the house. The event was supported by the Renton Youth Council, and I had the privilidge to MC this premier show of the series.
